This week, our columnist has reviewed Benq’s short-throw, gaming projector, Synco’s wireless mic and more gizmos. Read up the reviews below:
Benq TH690ST
Benq’s TH690ST is a 1080p projector aimed squarely at gaming. The short throw projector does take a bit of time to set up out of the box, but the results are worth it. Offering HDR 10 support and an LED light source rated at an excellent 2300 ANSI lumens with 3D support, images and video are very good. I was able to project a 100 inch image on my wall at a distance of about 5 feet. The low-latency gaming experience was smooth, vivid and exciting (connected via my PS 4). The in-built stereo speakers provide ample volume for every game attempted. Overall, if you’re an avid gamer and looking for the largest screen sizes, this is a great option for you. INR 1.10 lakh.
Mivi Model E
Mivi’s Model E is an excellent smartwatch for the price. It sports a HD display (1.69”) and comes with 7+ days of battery life. Set up is easy and the watch syncs with the Mivi Health App seamlessly. The watch dial is bright and legible (500 nits) and works well in water and dusty environments as well (IP 68). Metrics were reasonably accurate including SpO2, activity and sleep tracking. Multi sport mode pushes limits with compatibility upto 120 sport activities. The watch is also available in 6 shades including a fantastic red option. INR 1,499.
Synco G1(A1) Wireless Mic
Synco’s G1(A1) is an ultra compact digital wireless Microphone system. It has unique features including a small size battery which supports 8 hours of recording, a DSP processor for real time audio processing, low cut filter to remove ambient noises like wind, traffic and a transmission distance upto 150m. I connected G1(A1) to a variety of Android and iOS devices and the results were great, showing dramatic improvements compared to their existing inbuilt mics as well as other external mics. This device is ideal for interviews, speeches, stage performances and vlogging. INR 8,899.
